Flyin' High and Drivin' Crazy

After the river adventure, we got cleaned up and met Ginger and Janet for some dinner. Then we headed to the Ultimate Adventure at the Grand Sierra Resort. Little Ginger, C.C., and Stephanie went on the giant swing. Next, it was pedal to metal at the go-carts. I think everyone had a great day.

Rollin' On The River

On Friday we got a call from my sister saying that her, my dad, his girlfriend Stephanie, and her daughter C.C. were going to come up. We thought that it would be fun to go tubing down the Truckee River. We met them in Tahoe City on Saturday morning and headed off on our water journey. There was plenty of cold water, hot sun, and just plain relaxing to go around. It took us about 3 1/2 hours to get from Tahoe City to River Ranch. Overall the ride was calm, except for the occasional water gun attack or beer bong crowd. The last 100 yards or so were a little rough for our lazy river tubes. We had one tube lose its battle with the rocks and of few of us ended up with some battle scars, but it was worth it. Ginger lost her sandals and tank top in the chaos, so we headed to the Tahoe City Porter's to get her some new gear. It was a great time. There are five tubes left, just waiting to get in the water again.

Long Lost Friends

It's been too long. Friday night Danielle and I went to South Lake to see some friends we knew from the Bay. It was Macys' 27th birthday and they had a beautiful condo at the Marriott. We had a Lasagna dinner thanks to Josh.

Brett and Macy live in Roseville, but we knew them when we lived in San Jose. Macy and I met back at Northwood elementary school in 2nd grade and were friends ever since. Brett is Macy's husband I met him in High School through friends from Piedmont, but I never knew that they were together. After school they started dating and I lost touch with them until Friday. It was great to see the both of them. They seem very happy together. I also got to see Macy' s family. They were always cool with all the kids. We spent many nights hanging out late into the night at their house. Hope to see them both soon. How time flies.

The Hills are Burning

This has been a horrible fire season. There is a fire burning on the hill across from my house. It started last night. Hope they get it under control, the winds have been gusty, that's not helping.

Riding Down the River

Sunday we decided to go to Tahoe city and rent some bikes to ride down the Truckee river, the weather was perfect. We rode from Tahoe City to Squaw and back about 10 miles it's a nice mellow ride. We ended the weekend with a good lunch at the Bridge Tender, not a bad weekend. Back to work for the daily grind.

Dave 51st B-Day

Dave and Diane came up for the weekend to celebrate Dave's birthday. Saturday we slept in which was needed. Had some lunch at Bangkok Cuisine, then of to the Grand Sierra Resort to hit some balls at the driving range. Then off to Harrahs to meet Ginger and Janet to go to Ichiban yummy. After dinner we walked down the river walk, to settle are food. We were about to leave when we saw a free concert at Harrahs, it was a Pink Floyd tribute band. They weren't bad but some of the people there were still on acid from the 70's. Had a great night overall
